Job summary

Modis is seeking a Robotics Engineer for a contract position in Normal, IL. Ideal candidates have a solid background in the Automotive industry and hands-on robotics experience.

Responsibilities include overseeing robotics projects, commissioning industrial robots, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role requires BS/MS Mechatronics or related fields and strong project management skills.

Rate is $70–$80 per hour; negotiation based on experience.

Qualifications

• BS/MS Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 7+ Years of relevant experience in the field of robotics for industrial automation.
• Demonstrated project planning and project management skills, utilizing project management tools, e.g., Smart Sheets, JIRA, Microsoft suite.
• Experience commissioning industrial robots in a large manufacturing installation
• Basic understanding of mechanical repair, computer programming, and electric circuit design
• Experience with typical robotics applications i.e., joining, material handling, etc.
• Experience with Offline programming

Responsibilities

• Lead robotics projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Commission industrial robots in large manufacturing installations.
• Plan and manage projects using tools like Smart Sheets and JIRA.
• Ensure safety considerations for robotic systems are followed.

Modis is seeking a Robotics Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Normal, IL. Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the Automotive industry.

Rate Range: $70/hour to $80/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Job responsibilities include:

• BS/MS Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
• 7+ Years of relevant experience in the field of robotics for industrial automation
• Demonstrated project planning and project management skills, utilizing project management tools, e.g., Smart Sheets, JIRA, Microsoft suite.
• Experience commissioning industrial robots in a large manufacturing installation

Desired Qualifications:

• Ability to effectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with internal and external business partners, contractors, and vendors
• Proficient with more than one familiar 6-axis industrial robot brand such as Fanuc, Kawasaki, ABB, Kuka, etc.
• Perform safety buy-offs of robot and operator safety (DCS, CubicS, MoveSafe, KukaSafe)
