Job description

Every minute matters in stroke treatment. Magnendo is developing robotic technology to make life-saving endovascular procedures faster, safer, and more accessible. By combining advanced robotics, magnetic navigation, and intelligent software, we are tackling one of the most technically demanding challenges in healthcare while aiming to expand access to advanced stroke care for patients around the world. Join us in shaping the future of endovascular intervention.

We'relooking for aRoboticsEngineer to help design, build, and testourroboticmagnetic navigation platform. You'llwork across the core disciplines that driveroboticnavigation and system validation:roboticsand controls, computer vision and perception, androboticssimulation. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who wants to grow their depth across multiple technical domains while working alongside our Principal engineers in each area.

Level and compensation for this role will be determined based on experience — candidates may be leveled as Engineer or Senior Engineer depending on years of experience and demonstrated scope of impact.

You Will:
  • Designand buildsoftwarein one or more of our core technical areas:roboticpath planning and motion control, computer vision and ML-based perception, or 3Droboticsimulation

  • Support design decisions with engineering analysis, simulation, prototyping, and hands-on testing

  • Help define and execute test plans and acceptance criteria for the components you own

  • Collaborate closely with systems and hardware engineers to integrate your work into the broader system

  • Participate in design reviews, risk analysis, and root-cause investigations across simulation, algorithms, and system integration

  • Deepen yourexpertisein one or more specialty areas over time while building working familiarity with the rest of the system

You Are:
  • 2-8 years ofroboticsengineering experience, with exposure toroboticpath planning and controls, computer vision and machine learning, and/or simulation tooling forroboticsor complex electromechanical systems, preferably in an environment with high reliability requirements or under a regulatory regime

  • A good collaborator who understands the importance of clear communication and humility and knows when to ask for support

  • Motivated to apply advanced technology across multiple fields to a concrete application that saves lives

  • Excited to be an early hire at a startup – resourceful, strong senseof ownership, able to make progress in the face of ambiguity, evolving priorities, and limited process

  • Interested in working in a high-reliability, safety-critical environment; prior experience in a regulated industry is a plus but notrequired

  • Able to take ownership of discrete features or modules and see them through from design to validation

  • Eager to learn and grow acrossrobotics, perception, and simulation domains as our team and product evolve

  • Comfortable with Python, Linux, GIT

Bonus Points:
  • Experience in the medical device industry, ideally with interventional orroboticsystems

  • Familiarity withroboticsdevelopment tools such as Drake, ROS,Moveit, RVIZ, Gazebo, and Isaac Sim

  • Experience with computer vision, 3D sensing, or medical/domain-specific imaging (e.g., fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT/MRI)

  • Experience with 3Droboticssimulation concepts: kinematics, dynamics, sensor modeling, and environment/world modeling

  • Comfortable with C++
