Location: Detroit, Michigan (Newlab)

Travel: ~40–50% within the U.S. (occasional international travel possible)

About the Role

As a Robotics Application Engineer, you are the technical link between product and customer. You’ll own the deployment of our solution in client factories, from early feasibility to installation and support. You’ll collaborate with sales, test setups in-house, go onsite for deployments, and troubleshoot in the field. It’s a technical, hands-on role that mixes vision software, robotics, and real-world problem-solving.

What You’ll Do

• Conducting on-site and off-site meetings with clients, necessitating frequent travel to customer sites
• Managing customer demonstrations, client projects and technological developments
• Overseeing the on-site installation of products and training customer teams
• Deploying and monitoring production systems
• Diagnosing, investigating, and addressing customer feedback regarding the use of Inbolt products

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with industrial robots (FANUC, ABB, UR, KUKA) is imperative.
• Able to travel 60-70% of the time (U.S. travel + valid passport)
• Advanced Python skills
• Strong robotics/computer vision knowledge
• Project management experience in tech or manufacturing environments
• Experience with customer service in the manufacturing industry is important.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset
• Bonus: CAD modeling and 3D printing experience
