Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Controls Systems Engineer to design, program, commission, and sustain controls and automation across our manufacturing environments. You will architect PLC systems, develop SCADA/HMI apps, and integrate robotics for reliable, safe production.

In this fast-paced role, you’ll own line deployment from pilot to high-volume production, work with MES/ERP/WMS/QMS layers, and drive improvements in cycle time, uptime, and safety while maintaining compliance with

Qualifications

Experience with PLC architecture design and programming for scalable production lines.
Experience with SCADA/HMI system design, deployment and management.
Experience coordinating with system integrators and verifying vendor compliance with controls standards.
Experience with MES integration and data flow across shop-floor and enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

Design and program PLC architecture (Siemens TIA Portal and/or Rockwell Studio 5000/ControlLogix).
Design, deploy, and maintain SCADA/HMI layers (Ignition, FactoryTalk, WinCC).
Integrate automation and robotics across cells with standardized programming and safety compliance.
Develop safety designs (SafetyPLC, safety-rated networks) and ensure regulatory compliance.
Own controls engineering scope for line deployment, commissioning, and ramp to production.
