Job summary

Physicians Regional – Surgical Services is seeking a Surgical Technician First Assist to support surgeons during procedures, maintain sterile fields, and assist in critical tasks. This role requires advanced technical skills, positioning, tissue handling, and wound closure as directed by the surgeon.

The position offers a flexible PRN schedule in Naples, FL, with opportunities for growth to full-time. NBSTSA certifications and robotics experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in surgical techniques and aseptic principles.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, instrumentation, and workflows.
• Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and respond to intraoperative changes.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and organize sterile supplies; provide instruments to the team.
• Assist first assistant duties: exposure, retractors, suction, sponging.
• Dissect tissues, clamp vessels, control bleeding, place drains as directed.
