Job summary

Zekelman Industries is seeking a plant-based operator to set up and run high-speed forming and cutting equipment with robotic elements at our Illinois facility. You will ensure safety, accuracy, and reliable production, inspecting materials and reporting issues to the team.

The role requires reading and writing English, basic math, and prior manufacturing experience. Onsite, full-time position with advancement in safety and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write English and maintain production logs.
• Manufacturing or related industrial experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math including fractions and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate high speed equipment with robotic elements.
• Observe safety and LOTO rules while operating equipment.
• Inspect materials for quality before, during, and after production.
• Record and report deficiencies to supervisor or quality department.
• Maintain tooling and perform PMs on equipment.
• Assist maintenance with repairs as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
