Job summary

Zekelman Industries is seeking a dedicated operator to set up and run high-speed equipment with robotic elements to form or cut steel to exact dimensions. You will report to the Plant Manager and work the 5:30am–4:00pm shift, ensuring safe, efficient production and quality control.

The role requires attention to safety, precise measurements, and teamwork with maintenance and quality teams to minimize scrap and downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Ability to read and write English; ability to maintain production records and logs.
• Manufacturing or related industrial experience preferred.
• Ability to perform math, addition, subtraction, decimals and fractions; basic measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Observe all safety and LOTO rules to operate equipment efficiently and effectively.
• Advanced set up and calibration of all equipment.
• Inspect materials for quality issues before, during, and after running material.
• Record and report deficiencies in quality to supervisor/quality department.
