Job summary

Path Robotics in Columbus, OH is seeking an experienced Deployment Engineering Manager to lead the field squad responsible for deploying our state-of-the-art robotic welding cells on customer floors. You will scale field operations, standardize processes, and drive first-time quality across deployments.

You’ll own the Jira lifecycle, develop repeatable SOPs, coach engineers, and partner with Operations and Product to reduce cycle times and field costs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in deployment/field engineering or related technical roles.
• Experience leading engineers in field/customer settings.
• Strong knowledge of electromechanical systems; robotics/automation preferred.
• Ability to develop/standardize processes, SOPs, and operational metrics.
• Experience troubleshooting complex systems and conducting root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Scale deployment engineering by recruiting, training, and onboarding field talent.
• Create repeatable SOPs and commissioning checklists to accelerate value.
• Implement field metrics for installation hours, calibration efficiency, and capacity.
• Own out-of-box quality metrics and prevent field-stage failures.
• Systematize cell configuration and calibration across sensors and robotics arms.
• Reduce cycle times for hardware-in-the-loop validation and lower field labor costs.
• Own the Jira lifecycle and ensure bugs are tracked from discovery to resolution.
• Provide rapid SLA triage and unblock on-site engineers in real time.
• Deliver data-driven feedback to prioritize fixes and harden products.
• Capture RCA write-ups to prevent recurrence and share learnings across teams.
• Bridge Operations and Product Engineering for deployable hardware improvements.
