Job summary

Mecka AI is hiring to ensure capture devices are ready for high-quality data collection in diverse environments. You will own the technical readiness of deployed devices, diagnose hardware and software issues, and drive verified resolutions across a growing fleet.

You will develop tools and procedures to reduce downtime, troubleshoot cameras and Linux systems, and write scripts to speed up diagnostics and maintenance. This is a hands-on, impacting role in New York.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years hands-on experience with devices combining hardware and software.
• Linux command-line, logs, processes, services, and network diagnostics.
• Scripting for diagnostics and automation is required.
• Ability to isolate faults with repeatable tests and verify outcomes.
• Experience validating behavior after repairs or updates.
• Clear communication with technical and nontechnical users.

Responsibilities

• Own device issues from first report through diagnosis, repair, and verification.
• Troubleshoot cameras, peripherals, Linux software, storage, networking, and data transfers.
• Prepare devices for deployment with config, software updates, and checks.
• Support operators with guidance and reproduce defects for engineering.
• Write scripts and procedures to speed up problem diagnosis.
• Track recurring failures and improve readiness checks.
