Job summary

Persimmon Technologies in Bedford, MA seeks a Controls Engineer to develop advanced control systems for robotic manipulators and related electromechanical systems, including motion control, servo tuning, dynamic modeling in MATLAB, and real-time software implementation.

You will select actuators, sensors and other control components, perform design analysis, prototype in a Linux/C/C++ environment, and document decisions for manufacturing handoff. Some travel within and outside the US is expected.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer, Mechanical, Electrical, Aeronautic or related engineering with at least 2 years of experience.
• MS/PhD in related engineering with 0–1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced control systems for robotic manipulators and related electromechanical systems.
• Perform motion control tuning, and develop dynamic models and MATLAB simulations.
• Select actuators, sensors and other control components and perform controls-related machine design analysis.
• Travel limited within and outside the US.
