Gentex is seeking an automation engineer to develop and improve robotic manufacturing systems, collaborating with engineers to standardize solutions and drive improvements across production. Qualifications

4-year Engineering degree or equivalent controls engineering experience.
At least 3 years of experience designing, programming or integrating automated equipment and robotic solutions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Support and improve existing automated systems.
Identify areas for improvement in automated equipment.
Analyze data from software systems to drive enhancements.
Develop programs for new and existing equipment using online and offline techniques.
Participate in hardware/software evaluation for automated equipment.
Collaborate to standardize automation solutions across similar equipment.
Assist in development of new manufacturing processes.
Coordinate with production support during equipment/software launches.
Research and develop new robotic solutions for automation.
Address obsolescence and work with maintenance on spare parts and upkeep.
Other duties as assigned.
