Job summary

Smith+Neu seeks a Robotics Clinical Specialist to drive adoption of CORI robotic knee and hip solutions in the San Francisco area. You will provide in-depth OR coverage, train surgeons and staff, and partner with sales to win in competitive markets.

In this field-based role you travel regularly, influence surgeon decisions, and support launches while maintaining high standards of patient care and regulatory compliance. This is a hybrid role with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in medical device sales or OR-based commercial roles.
• Experience in orthopaedics, joint reconstruction, robotics, or capital equipment preferred.
• Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory, including overnight travel.

Responsibilities

Robotics Clinical Specialist (San Francisco, CA)

As a field based Robotics Clinical Specialist, you will work at the intersection of advanced joint reconstruction technology and sales execution, partnering closely with surgeons and sales leaders to win in highly competitive markets.

What will you be doing?

• Serving as the operating room expert for CORI robotic assisted knee and hip solutions, providing hands on case coverage for new and existing customers
• Driving adoption, utilization, and growth of CORI technology in partnership with Joint Reconstruction and Capital Sales teams
• Supporting product launches, competitive conversions, and strategic growth initiatives within your territory
• Training surgeons and hospital staff to achieve confidence and technical proficiency in live surgical environments
• Identifying commercial opportunities, generating leads, and contributing directly to territory revenue performance
• Representing Smith+Neu at labs, in services, and medical education events

What will you need to be successful?

• 2 or more years of experience in medical device sales or operating room based commercial roles
• Experience in orthopaedics, joint reconstruction, robotics, or capital equipment strongly preferred
• A competitive, results driven mindset with the ability to influence in high pressure operating room environments
• Proven ability to build strong relationships with surgeons and key stakeholders
• Post secondary degree or equivalent commercial or clinical experience
• Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory, including regular overnight travel

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $75,000-85,000 USD annually.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

In addition to base compensation, this position is eligible for sales commission and incentives based on set targets. The commission earned will depend on the candidate’s performance in the role.
