Job summary

Symbotic is seeking a Cell Operator to join our Customer Operations team in Centralia, WA. You will oversee automated adapters, support system readiness, and operate using HMI terminals to sustain performance targets.

The role emphasizes safety, uptime, and hands-on maintenance in a demanding environment. You will perform inspections, monitor throughput, prepare pallets, and troubleshoot issues while collaborating with leadership to ensure continuous operation of the robotic system.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in electronics, automation or manufacturing.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with mechanical automation systems.
• Ability to perform system inspections including cleaning, lubrication and measurements.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and occasional 80 lbs; work safely and independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-production checks on automated adapters to ensure readiness.
• Monitor flow of automated storage and retrieval system via adapters to maximize throughput.
• Prepare pallets for induction into the storage system.
• Diagnose and recover from system stoppages using HMI and manual intervention.
• Elevate production issues to leadership to maintain uptime.
• Contribute to system uptime through robot upkeep and inspections.
• Follow safety protocols and operate in confined/restrictive environments.
