Job summary

J &O Plastics is seeking an Automation Tech to set up, operate, and troubleshoot automated and robotic equipment on the production floor. This role includes maintaining robot cells, EOAT, and teaching robot positions, reporting to the Manufacturing Engineer.

You will diagnose issues, adjust robot programs (Fanuc preferred), install tooling, perform equipment modifications with hand and power tools, and move robot cells with a forklift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or technical degree in robotics/automation/electrical maintenance.
• Understanding of automation systems: mechanical equipment, tooling, robotics, controls, software.
• Robot programming experience, Fanuc preferred.
• Ability to diagnose and fix equipment; safety in a production environment.
• Good communication, organization, and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues on the production floor.
• Adjust robot programs.
• Install end-of-arm tooling.
• Perform equipment modifications using hand and power tools.
• Setup robot cells on a job-specific basis.
• Maintain pneumatic and electrical components on the robot cells.
• Utilize a forklift to move a robot cell.
