Job summary

Symbotic is seeking an Automation Maintenance Technician to repair and calibrate automated systems, adapters, lifts and robotic vehicles. You will become the system expert for mechanical, PLC, electrical and electronic subsystems, ensuring uptime and performance.

The role supports the Customer Operations team, driving safety, quality and throughput in a dynamic warehouse environment. It requires hands-on maintenance, documentation in CMMS, and collaboration with site personnel.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and/or certification in electronics, automotive, automation or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with mechanical automation systems or equivalent training.
• Experience with PLC knowledge and troubleshooting and ability to read electro-mechanical diagrams.
• Ability to operate and run automated systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on Automated Storage and Retrieval System components and adapters/lifts.
• Lead continuous operation by calibrating, repairing, replacing or modifying system components.
• Troubleshoot automated robotic vehicle anomalies using schematics, wiring diagrams and test equipment.
• Document actions, parts used, and labor in CMMS with complete accuracy.
• Communicate production-impacting problems and recommended actions to the team.
