Job summary

Magna International seeks a Group Robotics & Automation Engineer to lead robotics and cobots deployment across North America. You will drive automation roadmaps, standardize robot platforms, and collaborate with Automation, Controls, Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Safety teams.

Responsibilities include ROI analyses, POC development, shop-floor support, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across multiple plants. Travel as needed to support multi-site manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience with industrial robotics and automation integration.
• Experience leading automation projects from concept to production launch.
• Proficiency in robot programming, simulation, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of PLC systems, sensors, and vision systems.
• Familiarity with EOAT design and robotic cell optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of divisional and regional automation roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Identify automation opportunities via plant assessments and ROI analysis.
• Benchmark emerging robotics technologies for replication across plants.
• Develop robotic concepts, simulations, and feasibility studies.
• Provide hands-on support during shop-floor implementation and commissioning.
