Job summary

Magna Seating is seeking a seasoned robotics engineer to drive industrial automation across North American manufacturing sites. You will lead robotics concepts, standardize platforms, and integrate robots with PLCs, sensors, and vision systems to enable scalable, cost-effective production.

The role requires hands-on programming, troubleshooting, and a track record of deploying cobots and traditional robots in high-volume environments. Travel up to 30% is possible to support multiple plants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Robotics, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 5+ years in industrial robotics, automation integration, and manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on programming, simulation, and troubleshooting in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and standardize robotic concepts, simulations, and feasibility studies.
• Lead robotics platform standardization, EOAT, and integration across facilities.
• Program, troubleshoot, and optimize FANUC, ABB, KUKA, and UR robots on the shop floor.
