Job summary

Magna New Mobility in Troy, MI is seeking a senior robotics software engineer to design, develop, and deploy AMR and fleet management software, ensuring reliability and real-time performance across customer deployments. You will work with cross-functional teams, optimize navigation, localization, and multi-robot coordination, and integrate with PLCs and industrial protocols.

Domestic and international travel is required.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
Experience designing, developing, and deploying robotics software in production and customer environments.
Hands-on with Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and industrial automation systems.
Strong knowledge of robot navigation, localization, path planning, and obstacle avoidance.
Proficient in C/C++ and Python; comfortable debugging complex software.

Responsibilities

Develop software for robot navigation, localization, path planning, and fleet coordination.
Integrate robotics software with Fleet Management Systems and PLCs.
Validate software through simulations, labs, and customer deployments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to deliver robust robotics solutions.
Travel internationally to support deployments.
