Job summary

Novanta is seeking an Assembler I to join its Robotics & Automation unit. You will read and interpret technical drawings, assemble components, inspect parts, and follow safety protocols while maintaining a clean work area.

You will collaborate with teammates to meet production goals and install mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components. The role offers a base pay range of $34,105 to $54,530 per year, with potential annual bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Read, interpret and work from technical drawings, specifications, manuals and schematics.
• Use hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Experience in manufacturing or willingness to learn with attention to detail.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Assemble components or sub-assemblies using tools and procedures.
• Inspect parts for defects or damage.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe workspace.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Use hand tools and power tools including hydraulic press.
• Apply lubricants and treatments to assembled products.
• Repair or replace faulty components to ensure performance.
• Store equipment, tools and materials properly.
• Report machinery malfunctions to supervisors promptly.
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals.
• Install electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical components.
• Inspect parts and finished products for defects and document issues.
• Follow assembly instructions precisely to construct machinery.
