Job summary

Novanta Corporation is seeking an Assembler I to build products per specifications and ensure strict quality control. You will read drawings, assemble components with hand tools and power equipment, and verify parts for defects while following safety protocols to maintain a clean, efficient workstation.

You will work with a team to meet production goals, install various mechanical and fluid components, and document any issues for prompt resolution.

Qualifications

Be able to read, interpret and work from technical drawings, specifications, technical manuals, and schematics.
Be able to use hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
Be able to communicate effectively.
Have experience in manufacturing or a desire to learn, along with consistent attention to detail.
Be able to follow safety procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Reading and interpreting assembly instructions, blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
Assembling components or sub-assemblies using appropriate tools and following guidelines.
Inspecting parts for defects or damage.
Following safety protocols and maintaining a safe workspace.
Installing electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical components and connecting them properly.
Conducting inspections of parts and finished products and documenting quality issues.
