Job summary
ABB Inc. is seeking a Computer Application Engineer to partner with the West Coast sales teams and support machine-centric robotic applications.
You will work on proof-of-concepts, cycle time evaluations, reach studies, and configure robotic solutions for PC-centric applications, with remote work and up to 35% travel. The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering or CS and 5+ years’ experience, plus proficiency in Linux, Python, JavaScript, REST and AI modeling.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in engineering or computer science with 5+ years in developing client/server applications.
- Must be competent on Linux, Python, JavaScript, REST.
- Must be competent on AI modeling (data sets, labeling, training).
- Comfortable presenting to customers and peers.
Responsibilities
- Work with sales to review customer requirements, propose and design robotic solutions.
- Showcase proof of concept and other demonstrations and presentations to customers.
- Ensure all solutions comply with customer specs and any code requirements.
- Collaborate with customers, internal teams and third parties to address issues and align on requirements.
