Job summary

FANUC America Corporation in California seeks an Applications Engineer (Physical AI) to support FANUC robot products in physical AI, virtual commissioning, and digital twin technologies. You will provide high-level software and controls expertise and assist District Managers with sales support to drive regional growth.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a technical field and at least 3 years of robotics integration experience, with strong Python and C++ skills, ROS2, Docker, Linux, and experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in engineering and integration of industrial robotics automation.
• 3+ years in motion planning or related field.
• Experience with simulation/emulation software (FANUC Roboguide, RoboDK, MoveIT, Process Simulate).
• Proficient in Python and C++ in a distributed development environment.
• Robotics background with ROS planning, ROS2; Docker and Linux.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for physical AI and virtual commissioning applications.
• Support pre- and post-sales activities with demonstrations and troubleshooting.
• Develop new robotics applications and validate solutions with sales and product teams.
• Track and document support requests with detailed resolutions.
• Help improve FANUC software framework and reliability.
