Job summary

Technique is seeking a Robotic Welding Technician at our North Carolina chassis facility to weld stainless and carbon steel using MIG/TIG. You will support QA with layouts, help design and implement production fixturing, and operate/ recover robotic welders across production phases.

The role requires 2+ years welding experience, abilities in GTAW/GMAW, blueprint reading with GD&T, and comfort with offline programming and CMM data. Safety and quality come first in this hands-on, advanced position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of welding experience in an industrial setting.
• Basic understanding of GD&T and print reading.
• Basic understanding of hand tools and layout/inspection tools.
• Preferred robotic welding experience with Motoman, Panasonic, or Fanuc systems.
• Experience with PLC programming and robotic system calibration preferred.
• Ability to perform robotic welder preventive maintenance and routine tune-ups.
• Advanced GD&T understanding and CAD/SolidWorks exposure are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welder Setup & Operation: GTAW & GMAW on mild steel joints; read weld symbols; wire and gas changes.
• Projection Welder Operations: set up and troubleshoot projection welder; manage fixture locations.
