Job summary

SMF is hiring for Robotic Welding Technician roles in Illinois. You will operate robotic welding cells, load parts, and monitor welds to meet production and quality standards. The role emphasizes safety, equipment care, and continuous development within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include performing routine inspections, maintaining tools, and documenting production and quality data while following established procedures and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn processes.
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
• Willingness to learn and progress within the Robotic Welding Technician career path.

Responsibilities

• Operate robotic welding cells safely and following procedures.
• Load/unload parts and fixtures; start/stop welding cycles.
• Monitor weld quality and report defects or anomalies.
• Perform basic inspections and document production and quality data.
• Maintain a clean, organized welding cell and report equipment issues.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.
