Job summary

SMF, located in Anderson, SC, is hiring a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair industrial machinery and facility systems. The role requires strong electrical troubleshooting skills, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical knowledge, with a minimum of five years in manufacturing.

You will read blueprints, work independently, and collaborate with a team to meet production goals while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; technical certification in multi-craft maintenance preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic/Technician in manufacturing.
• Strong skills in electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical systems.
• Service mindset, teamwork and strong communication skills.
• Self-driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot 3-phase power (480V), low-voltage circuits, and PLC systems (PLC troubleshooting a plus).
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure machine uptime and safety.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Work independently while collaborating with the team to meet production goals.
• Follow safety protocols and company policies to ensure a secure work environment.
