Job summary

Allied Steel Buildings, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain metal fabrication machinery for producing steel components used in structural steel and building systems.

Responsibilities include programming and adjusting robotic welders, loading and aligning beams, and inspecting finished parts for quality against drawings. Requires 2+ years in fabrication with a strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints, technical drawings, and measuring tools.
• Experience with CNC equipment, automated systems, or beam lines a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to read, write, and understand basic English and/or Spanish to interpret and follow safety guidelines and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor robotic welding systems and automated fabrication equipment used in the fabrication of structural steel beams and components.
• Set up machines, tooling, and robotic programs based on production specifications, shop drawings, and work orders.
• Fabricate structural steel beams and assemblies, including layout, fit-up, and positioning of components prior to welding.
• Load, align, and secure beams, plates, and structural components for automated welding and fabrication processes.
• Monitor robotic welding operations to ensure proper weld penetration, alignment, and overall structural integrity.
