Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking an Automation Maintenance Technician for a 1st–3rd shift role in a fast-paced, high-volume automotive environment. You will maximize machine uptime, drive OEE, and support welding/assembly systems with hands-on maintenance and robot programming.

Seeking candidates with 5+ years in industrial maintenance, strong Fanuc control expertise, and the ability to work a rotating 7th day.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; associate degree or technical cert preferred.
5+ years in industrial maintenance, robotics, or automated manufacturing, preferably automotive.
Strong Fanuc robot programming and teach pendant mastery.
Experience servicing MIG, resistance spot, and projection welding equipment.
Ability to read electrical schematics, hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams, and blueprints.
Experience with industrial electrical systems, motors, and safety circuits.
Willing to work a 6-day week with rotating 7th day.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, robotic, and automated manufacturing equipment.
Program, recover, master, and optimize Fanuc robots using teach pendants.
Maintain and repair MIG, resistance spot, and projection welding systems and controllers.
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on motors, gearboxes, VFDs, conveyors, sensors, and control panels.
Diagnose faults using PLC diagnostics, HMIs, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings.
Repair production fixtures and tooling by replacing locating pins, clamps, cylinders, and shims.
Implement continuous improvement actions to reduce downtime, scrap, and safety risks.
