Forms+Surfaces is seeking a Robotic Welder Operator to join our Pittsburgh manufacturing team in Glenshaw, PA. Pay is from $20-$23 per hour with a Monday–Friday shift 7am–3:30pm.

As part of our production line, you will weld per blueprints, inspect welds, and prepare parts using grinding, drilling, milling, tapping and cutting. Prior robotic welding and programming experience is required.

Qualifications

• Education/Training in Robotic Welding.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably a fabrication environment.
• Prior experience programming robots is a must.
• Familiarity with welding equipment, tools, and procedures.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of communication set up with robot peripherals.
• Must have understanding of fabrication techniques via MIG and TIG with Aluminum, Stainless, and Carbon Steel products.
• Good understanding of mechanical systems.
• Ability to read schematics and other drawings.
• A self-motivated and hands-on approach.
• Ability to react quickly to changing requirements and new processing developments.

Responsibilities

• Create quality welds according to blueprints (weld symbols)
• Inspect welds for accuracy
• Prepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping, and cutting steel/aluminum parts
• Perform first article inspections as well as subsequent inspections
