Job summary

Forms+Surfaces is seeking a Robotic Welder Operator to join the Pittsburgh-area manufacturing team. You will create high-quality welds per blueprints, inspect welds, and prepare parts using grinding, drilling, milling, tapping and cutting. You will also conduct first article inspections and log time/attendance entries.

This full-time role requires robotics programming experience, MIG/TIG welding proficiency, and the ability to read schematics while adapting to evolving production needs.

Qualifications

• Education/Training in Robotic Welding.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably fabrication.
• Prior experience programming robots.
• Familiarity with welding equipment, tools, and procedures.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of robot peripherals communication.
• Understanding of MIG/TIG welding with Aluminum, Stainless, and Carbon Steel.
• Good understanding of mechanical systems.
• Ability to read schematics and drawings.
• Self-motivated, hands-on, and able to adapt to changes.
• Follow written/verbal instructions and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Payrate: From $20 - $23 per hour

Shift: Monday – Friday 7am – 3:30pm (Full-time)

Responsibilities

Skills & Requirements

• Knowledge of communication set up with robot peripherals
• Must have understanding of fabrication techniques via MIG and TIG with Aluminum, Stainless, and Carbon Steel products
• Good understanding of mechanical systems
• Ability to read schematics and other drawings
• A self-motivated and hands-on approach
• Ability to react quickly to changing requirements and new processing developments
• Follow written/verbal instructions and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
