Journeyman Maintenance Technician

This full-time role is a part of our Elkton team and reports to the Trades Supervisors.
Shift and Pay:
Hourly rate is $30.61
2nd shift - 3:30pm – 12am - $0.60/hr shift premium
3rd shift – 10:30pm – 7am - $0.75/hr shift premium
Job Summary:
Diagnose malfunctioning machines such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
Diagnose and replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, and motors and positions sensing devices.
Test malfunctioning machinery and discuss malfunction with personnel from other affected departments including production, maintenance, and tool room to diagnose malfunction.
Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas.
Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
Remove and replace worn or broken parts.
Required Experience:
Working on large metal stamping presses.
Working with robotic welding machines (Fanuc).
Experience in a manufacturing environment working with steel, iron, aluminum, and other various metals.
Maintenance Tech Journeyman card or 8 years of verifiable experience.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Proven written and verbal communication skills.
