Job summary

Roboticsconnected in Elkader, IA is seeking a Robotic Weld Technician to set up, operate, and troubleshoot MIG welding robots and related equipment. You will work on weld controls, program creation, and process optimization on the shop floor, ensuring parts meet blueprints and specifications.

Qualifications

• Adequate training and experience; A.A. or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is preferable
• Related work experience on robotic welding applications highly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective equipment and clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)

Responsibilities

• Identify and set robotic welding parameters, welding procedures, and operations.
• Troubleshoot part fit-up problems
• Create robotic welding programs, modify existing welding programs, and conduct welding cell cycle time calculations.
• Inspects welds and checks critical measurements upon completion to ensure they meet specifications and criteria.
• Read and consult blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to execute jobs and tasks to specification
• Set the weld machine to correct setting for weld application following guidelines and procedures
• Welds small to large components in various positions; trim metal components; deburr parts
• Operate safety equipment and maintain a clean, safe work area; follow safety protocols
