AP Health in St. Louis, Missouri seeks a highly experienced General Robotic Surgery Physician Assistant to join our team.

This surgical-only role requires 2+ years as a surgical first assistant in robotic surgery and bariatric experience, with NCCPA board certification and Missouri licensure. On-site in a private practice setting, duties include intraoperative assistance, patient positioning, and on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience functioning as a surgical first assistant in general robotic surgery.
• Experience in bariatric surgery.
• Current Missouri State License; relocation support available.
• Board certified by NCCPA.
• Active BLS and ACLS.
• Ability to provide comprehensive perioperative care.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a Surgical First Assistant in the Operating Room
• Positions and drapes the patient under the direction of the surgeon
• Suturing and retracting of all tissue layers
• Assists in the intra-operative care of the patient by performing technical duties as assigned
• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations
• Rotating on-call responsibilities
