AP Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Assistant to join our Dallas team. This role is strictly surgical with no clinic time, requiring 2+ years in general robotic surgery and current national surgical assistant certification.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Surgical First Assistant (LSA).
• Current national surgical assistant certification.
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Paid state license, malpractice, and other dues.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a Surgical First Assistant in the Operating Room.
• Positions and drapes the patient under the surgeon's direction.
• Suturing and retracting tissue layers.
• Assists in intra-operative care by performing technical duties as assigned.
• Performs comprehensive and problem-focused histories and exams.
• Rotating on-call responsibilities.
