Job summary

QPS Employment Group in Dubuque, IA is hiring a Welder for first and second shifts. You will perform manual MIG/TIG welding and operate robotic welding systems, reading blueprints and ensuring weld quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Welding experience or completion of a trade school welding program.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient in MIG and TIG welding; capable of manual welding.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate robotic welding equipment per specifications.
• Troubleshoot and repair robotic welding systems, controllers, and sensors.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on welding robots and tooling.
• Monitor weld quality and adjust for consistency and efficiency.
• Read blueprints and welding symbols to assemble parts with precision.
• Develop and refine robotic welding programs to reduce scrap.
• Maintain production, maintenance, and quality records.
• Follow safety procedures and support continuous improvement.
