Job summary
Broetje Automation is seeking an experienced Machine Maintenance Technician for our Charleston, SC facility. You will maintain robotic-controlled automated fastening machines used in aircraft assembly, reporting to OEM standards.
Three full-time positions are available. Shifts include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with overtime and shift differentials. Competitive benefits include healthcare, 401(k) matching, and tuition assistance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience troubleshooting CNC/machine tools (Siemens 840D).
- Experience troubleshooting PLC (Siemens Step 7).
- Preferred: controls systems training, sensors and electromechanical devices.
Responsibilities
- Ensures operation of machinery and equipment by completing maintenance on Broetje Automated Fuselage Equipment and related support equipment; follows manuals, instructions, and specs; troubleshoots malfunctions.
- Locates problems by observing mechanical/electrical assemblies; uses precision measuring equipment and test fixtures.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling assemblies with hand tools, hoists, cranes; inspects form/fit of parts.
- Adjusts tooling/equipment to OEM specifications using hand tools.
- Performs routine preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
