Job summary

SCN - Search Consulting Network partners with an MIT-founded robotics startup to hire a Robot Software Engineer (Early Career) in Los Angeles. You will develop robotics software using C++ and Python, integrate ROS 2 systems, and work on autonomous robots in real-world warehouse settings.

You will collaborate closely with founders and engineers, gain hands-on experience with sensors and embedded systems, and travel to customer sites as needed to deploy solutions.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C++ and Python for robotics software.
• Experience with ROS 2 (ROS 1 acceptable).
• Familiarity with Linux/Ubuntu and Git workflows.
• Hands-on experience with physical robots, sensors or embedded systems.
• Open to recent graduates and early-career engineers.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and debug robotics software for navigation, perception, localization, and obstacle avoidance.
• Integrate ROS-based systems, sensors, and robot controls.
• Test and troubleshoot software on physical robots and at customer sites.
• Support motion planning, teleoperation, and warehouse system integrations.
