Job summary

Toyota North America is seeking a Body Weld PE Technician to perform digital engineering studies offline using 3D simulation software to support New Model implementation in North America Manufacturing Centers.

The role includes programming robots at manufacturing centers or vendor facilities, creating Weld Schedules, and developing related documentation while pursuing continuous process improvements. The position is based at PEMC with travel and overtime expectations.

Qualifications

• Associate technical degree or 2 years of equivalent technical work experience in body shop.
• Experience with 3D robot simulation and offline programming with Delmia/Carott3.
• Ability to travel up to 30% and use Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct DE studies to produce virtual robot programs and confirm new model process feasibility.
• Develop Weld Schedules and supporting documentation for clients.
• Program robots at manufacturing centers or vendor sites.
• Prepare and confirm body weld equipment at vendors or plants.
• Support efficiency/improvement initiatives within the department.
