Job summary

Toyota North America in Georgetown, KY is hiring a Paint Digital Engineer for a 36-month contract. The role involves creating offline robot programs for a robotic production line, coordinating trials, and supporting digital engineering studies across sealer, base, and interior robot processes.

Travel to the US, Mexico, and Canada is required. Ideal candidates will have a technical degree or equivalent experience, hands-on robotic paint shop exposure, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2 years technical degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with automated robotic paint shop application or similar.
• Experience with Digital Engineering.
• Additional related certifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create offline robot programs for download in a robotic production process.
• Coordinate with Regional Paint Engineer study, conduct the trial, evaluate based on safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
• Support Paint DE group to develop reach studies and cycle time analysis for sealer, UBC, and dampening coat robot processes.
• Support Paint DE group to develop reach studies and cycle time analysis for primer, base, clear and interior robot processes.
• Lead all meetings with related groups, document creation, and support plants in the process.
• Travel to US, Mexico and Canada to support projects; report to the Digital Engineering Manager.
• Must be able to work with minimal direction.
