Job summary

Maxwell Bond seeks a Robot Control Lead to own the control stack powering automated robotic systems. You will lead design, development, and deployment of real-time control, from joint-space to whole-body Cartesian control, collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and perception teams to move from prototype to field deployment.

The role is hands-on leadership requiring mentorship, producing robust control software, simulating with IsaacSim/MuJoCo, and commissioning on site.

Qualifications

• Strong background in robotics and control theory.
• Proven ability to design and deploy control systems for physical robots.
• Experience with real-time control and perception integration.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and implementation of robot control stack from joint-space to Cartesian control.
• Design and implement impedance and force control for dexterous manipulation.
• Develop real-time control loops meeting safety and reliability requirements.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and perception teams.
• Mentor and guide software controls engineers; promote best practices.
