Job summary

Tyson Foods in Robards, KY seeks a Maintenance Generalist to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment across all plant lines. The role requires working 12-hour shifts on a rotating 3-day/4-day schedule and lifting up to 70 lbs.

Training in Tyson SAP and strong communication are essential to support safe, continuous production. Applicants should have at least 6 months of mechanic experience or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance program; relocation not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance supervisor and assign techs to equipment during periods.
• Collaborate with USDA personnel, drivers, and other team members.

Job Details:Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.Maintenance GeneralistRotating schedule of 3-day and 4-day workweeks with 12-hour shifts.Pay ranges from $24.10 to $30.15 per hour, depending on experience.Functions:o To maintain and promote the Tyson safety cultureo Receive training as requiredo Perform various positions as required/assignedo Assist maintenance supervisor with personnel and equipmento Assign maintenance techs to equipment during process periodso Assist with preventative maintenance and breakdownso Train maintenance techs on equipmento Utilize computer-based PM program to track equipment maintenanceo Fill in for absenteeism or assisting in other areas of plantDescriptionThis position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.TasksGeneral Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. Must be willing to set up, adjust and break down production line machinery. Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system. Must have good verbal and written communication skills and able to communicate with other Team Members, producers, USDA personnel and drivers. Must be able to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Must be willing to lift 70 lbs. periodically throughout the shift on a daily basis and be willing to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours.
