Job summary

Tyson Foods in Pine Bluff, AR is hiring for an industrial maintenance role on the D shift (4:30 PM–5:00 AM). You will troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment, document actions, and respond to mechanical or electrical breakdowns while following Tyson policies and safety programs.

The job requires at least 1 year of maintenance experience, ability to work unsupervised, and willingness to perform physical duties including lifting up to 70 lbs and climbing ladders or scaffolds.

Job Description

• Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
• Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction.
• Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems.
• Responds to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handles emergencies.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule.
• Complete appropriate paperwork and reports
• Must comply with lockout/ tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs.
• Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Able to perform diagnoses and repairs without supervision.
• Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision
• Ability to assist with other mechanics as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Work in temperature that will vary with outside ambient temperatures and humidity. It can be dusty, warm, cold and/or humid.
• The positions physical requirements will include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping, and the ability to climb ladders, lifts, and scaffolds.
• Lifting will also be required, and depending on the department could be up to 70lbs.
