Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking an experienced worker to operate a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment on construction sites, performing maintenance and repairs to roads and rights-of-way. You will load materials, grade surfaces, and assist with ditch construction while ensuring safety and proper equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities include training others in safe operation and inspecting equipment and infrastructure for issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant field experience.
• Working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and layout tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles and heavy equipment to maintain roads and rights-of-way.
• Load gravel, dirt, and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
• Trench and construct ditches for culverts and pipes; remove debris.
• Check and maintain fluid levels and lubrication of equipment.
• Potentially train others in safe operation of equipment and techniques.
• Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify causes of errors or defects.
