Job summary

The Town of Shelburne is hiring a Highway Truck Driver-Laborer to safely operate municipal vehicles and equipment, perform road and sidewalk maintenance, and provide manual labor on town projects. You will uphold customer service and safety standards while supporting other departments as needed.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, 2–4 years of related experience, and a CDL license. The role may involve on-call hours and extended outdoor work in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Accreditation from a technical school or skilled trades program.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Commercial driver's license (CDL) required.

Responsibilities

• Operate light to heavy trucks.
• Haul materials and plow snow with trucks.
• Operate equipment including front-end loader, backhoe, mowers, chainsaws, and weed eaters.
• Assist with maintenance or repairs per work orders.
• Provide manual labor on Town projects.
• Maintenance support to other departments when needed.
• Follow safety procedures in all work activities.
• Acquire and maintain CDL certification.
