Job summary

The Town of Westborough Department of Public Works seeks a full-time Highway Maintenance Craftsperson to maintain town roadways, drainage, vegetation, and related infrastructure. On-call duties during weather events and emergencies are required.

Minimum of a high school diploma and 3–5 years in public works or construction; MA CDL Class B and Hoisting License for Backhoe/Front End Loader needed for higher wage range. Wage range stated is $24.28–$33.81 per hour, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of public works/construction experience preferred.
• Massachusetts CDL Class B and Hoisting License for Backhoe/Front End Loader required for higher wage range.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair of town roadways and right of way.
• Conduct drainage cleaning and repair; vegetation removal; excavation and pipe installation.
