Work Zone Traffic Control, part of the Helix Traffic Solutions network, is seeking an Estimator to lead cost estimates for roadway construction projects involving temporary traffic control and safety devices. You will review plans, develop detailed estimates, and prepare bids for public and private projects, coordinating with vendors and branch managers to ensure accurate, timely submissions.

Qualifikationen

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & working with numbers.
• Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking when reviewing plans and specifications, identifying scope risks, and developing competitive bid strategies.
• Road construction operations or estimating experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, and contractors.

Aufgaben

• Review construction plans, specifications, and traffic control requirements.
• Develop detailed cost estimates including labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and logistics.
• Prepare and submit bids for ADOT, county, municipal, and private construction projects.
• Coordinate with vendors, trade partners, branch managers and operations.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and coordinate with contractors to clarify project requirements.
• Track submitted bids and follow up with contractors to maintain relationships and gather market feedback.
