Job summary

You will independently manage the estimating process from plan review through bid submission while supporting contractor relationships and internal planning.

The role requires experience reading plans, preparing detailed cost estimates, and coordinating with vendors and operations to ensure competitive bids.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and numerical analysis.
• Ability to apply critical thinking to plans and bid strategies.
• Experience in road construction estimating.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• 3+ years in estimating (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review construction plans, specs, and traffic control requirements.
• Develop detailed estimates for labor, equipment, materials, and logistics.
• Prepare and submit bids for ADOT, county, municipal, and private projects.
• Coordinate with vendors, branch managers, and operations.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and clarify project requirements.
• Track bids and maintain contractor relationships for feedback.
