Job summary

Garver in San Antonio, Texas seeks a Transportation Roadway Team Leader to guide the Roadway Team, manage workload, mentor staff, and market our services to major transportation clients in Texas.

The position requires a Texas PE license (or eligibility within 3 months), ABET-civil degree, and 10–15+ years of roadway design experience, with strong communication and client-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (ABET).
• PE license in Texas or eligible via reciprocity within 3 months.
• 10–15+ years of relevant experience in roadway design.
• Familiarity with AASHTO Green Book, MUTCD, TxDOT standards, and ADAAG/PROWAG.
• Strong written and verbal communication and client interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Roadway Team by managing workload and staffing, recruiting, and mentoring.
• Provide leadership and management of transportation design projects.
• Client management and ongoing client interaction.
• Develop project/task schedules for active projects.
• Coordinate with subconsultants and internal design teams.
• Oversee plans production for transportation design projects.
• Prepare scopes, fees, reports, and client deliverables.
