Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc is hiring Protectors to support traffic management at job sites. No experience or degree is required; training is provided and safety comes first. The role involves setting up traffic control equipment, guiding traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and maintaining a safe, organized site.

Shifts vary and may include nights or weekends. You will work outdoors in all weather, standing or walking 8–12 hours per shift. Personal safety gear is provided; boots must be worn.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for long periods.
• Must be able to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule; punctual for each shift.
• Must pass pre-hire screening including a drug test (safety sensitive).
• Stay alert around moving traffic and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Setting up cones, signs, and barricades and taking traffic control equipment down.
• Using a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor job site activity.
• Following all training safety rules.
• Communicating with crew and supervisor.
• Keeping vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Working outside all year, in all weather.
• Shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergency work.
