OHLA USA has an immediate opening for a QC Tech - Roadway in Fort Myers, FL. The role supports quality control testing and inspections of roadway paving materials to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.

You will work closely with QC personnel, project managers, and field crews to maintain high-quality roadway construction. Responsibilities include testing asphalt and aggregates, collecting samples, documenting results, and communicating findings to adjust

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of roadway construction or QC preferred.
• Able to read/interpret construction specs and test results.
• Strong attention to detail and testing protocols.
• Basic knowledge of construction materials and testing methods.
• Able to work outdoors and perform physical labor.
• Valid driver’s license and transportation required.
• ACI/FDOT certifications preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible hours including nights, weekends, overtime.
• Pass drug, fit-for-duty tests and background check.

Responsabilités

• Perform quality control testing on asphalt, aggregates, and other materials per project specifications and industry standards.
• Monitor the production and placement of asphalt to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Assist in collecting and preparing material samples for laboratory testing.
• Record and document test results accurately and submit reports as required.
• Communicate findings with supervisors and field crews to adjust production and paving operations as needed.
• Perform routine inspections of construction sites, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving material and construction-related quality issues.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe work environment.
• Work collaboratively with paving and QC teams to ensure efficiency in operations.
• Operate and maintain testing equipment as needed.
