Job summary

STV seeks an Assistant Project Manager/Roadway Engineer in our Transportation division in Columbia, SC. The role delivers design services for municipal, local, and SCDOT projects, coordinating with clients and engineers.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in roadway design, a civil engineering degree, and an SC PE license, with MicroStation, Geopak, and ORD experience. STV offers benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in roadway design.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
• SC PE license required.
• Experience with intersections, roundabouts, interchanges, widenings, or bike/ped facilities.
• Experience with MicroStation, Geopak, and Open Roads Designer.
• Familiarity with SCDOT/municipal projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional design services for transportation improvement projects.
• Develop schematic/functional designs, roadway geometry, drainage, and signing.
• Coordinate with client management teams and other engineers.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate design direction.
• Assist with cost estimates and technical reports.
• Facilitate project meetings and manage scopes, schedules, and invoices.
